Have you ever received the Lord Jesus Christ into your life?
"Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." -Acts 4:12
Here's how you can be sure you go to Heaven.
Remember that God loves you.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." -John 3:16
God loves you and has an awesome plan for your life!
The Bible says that all men are sinners.
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." -Romans 3:23
Our sins have separated us from God. God has given man the ability to choose right from wrong. We have all chosen to sin, and our sins keep us from God. No one is good enough to go to heaven on their own merit! No matter how many good things we do, we still fall short.
God's Word also says that sin must be paid for.
"For the wages of sin is death...." Romans 6:23a
Wages means payment. Just as there are wages for good, there is punishment for wrong. The payment for our sin is eternal death in a place called Hell. If we continue in our sin, we will be without God forever.
The good news is that Jesus Christ paid for our sins!
"...but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23b
"But God commendeth [demonstrated] his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." -Romans 5:8
All of our sins were laid on Christ on the cross. Christ showed His great love for us shown when He died on the cross to pay for our sin. Three days after His death, Jesus rose from the dead. He is alive today and forever!
We must pray and receive Christ by faith as Saviour.
"For whosoever shall call upon
ins! the name of the Lord shall be saved." -Romans 10:13
Everlasting life is a gift purchased by the blood of Jesus and offered freely to those who call upon Him by faith.
Let us help you with a sample prayer: (Remember that these words don't save you, but your faith in Jesus Christ does!)
"Dear God, I know I'm a sinner. If I died today, I would not go to Heaven. Please forgive me for my sins. Please come into my life, save my soul from Hell, and be my Saviour. I'm trusting you, and you alone, to take me to Heaven when I die. Thank you for saving me, Jesus. Amen!"
